Tommy grew up rather poor. At the age of 15 he gave his first performance at the Chandler Auditorium reluctantly in a Miami Vice style white suit he purchased at Good Will. The performance was well received and gave Tommy the confidence to move past his personal doubts.
Recently Tommy was discovered by Personal Development Guru Tony Robbins who heard his song "Find a Way." Tony Robbins then mentioned Tommy and his song on Twitter.[2][3]
In 2009, Hall won the YOBI Sing contest from YOBI.tv's first season for his entry "A Woman Just Like You".[4] Tommy won $17,500.00 USD and premium tickets for two to the 2010 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles as well as admittance for two into an official after-party.[5] Hall stated that he was able to live a lifelong dream by walking the red carpet at The Grammys.[1]
